FISHING TRIP DEEP SEA ADVENTURE

Fish n Fun

Thrill to the scream of the reel as a Wahoo strikes in the white water! Head offshore aboard our fast, new Stebercraft vessel to the Gold Coast's best fishing locations.

We target fish such as snapper, teraglin, pearl perch, tusk fish, marlin, dolphin fish and tuna, just to name a few. You'll have an amazing deep sea experience!

Arriving at our vessel in the early hours of the morning, you will be met by the Skipper, Bob Clayton, and introduced to the features of the fishing vessel. The vessel is a new Stebercraft, purpose built to Queensland's Maritime Safety Survey Standards and she is powered by a Yanmar Turbo Diesel engine, and her name is "Sweet Lips". She is also equipped with the best G.P.S. and Fish-finding technology money can buy!

Following a short safety brief, the current fishing conditions, travel times and destination are also discussed.

On most half day fishing trips travel time is kept to a minimum, and the boat heads to one of the closer offshore reefs, travel time is generally about twenty minutes. On full day trips there is the time to travel further to the deeper reefs searching for deep water fish like Kingfish. It's quite common to see dolphins swimming alongside the boat and during the whale season, groups of Humpback Whales are often seen breaching.

Fish n Fun

Upon arrival at the first fishing location, a 'fishing lesson' is given on how best to use the rods and reels, baiting and most importantly, how to see and feel the bites. Even the most inexperienced angler can catch fish armed with the right knowledge. If you have trouble the first time, your Skipper will happily guide you through the process until you master the skill and catch your own fish, there's no greater feeling.

Then it's down to the action! It gets very busy when there's a school of fish under the boat. As you are fishing, your Skipper may also put out a float bait or a live bait to lure the bigger predators. Be ready! He may pass you the rod with the BIG one on the line. We also move from reef to reef to maximise our time at sea and maximise our catch. Your fish are cleaned and bagged for you to take home and your Skipper can also advise you how best to cook your fish.
